It was the unconventional wedding. A day that was masterfully put together in every detail, but was designed to replicate more of a party. A day for Neil and Edwina to share every single moment with their family and friends and show them how valued they all were to them. From the request of a book as a gift, to hand written personal notes at each table setting to the six a side bridal party, Neil and Eddy’s mates were included in every part of the day and it almost was more about them than the couple themselves.

I had no directions other than to capture exactly what happened. You won’t see any images of Eddy putting on her dress that her Grandmother wore in 1944, no epic bridal portraits and barely a family portrait. The day was all about small, individual, split second moments; exactly what they wanted.

Held on their picturesque property ‘Warramba’, in the beautiful and well kept secret of Capertee Valley, the day started with an early ceremony under the Peppercorn Trees where blooms wound their way up the branches like a secret garden.

Post celebrations, guests sipped on locally sourced drinks on the edge of the historical homestead, followed by a journey half way up the hill to a gorgeous marquee overlooking the valley to feast on a late lunch.

The celebrations didn’t end there with another trek to the highest point of the property on sunset to watch the final light with the escarpment lighting up in pink and guests celebrated with cocktails and a piece of cake.

The night kicked off with much dancing and for those who weren’t too partied out, spent the early hours of the morning singing around campfires and watching the stars.

The day was truly all about the experience and enjoyment for their guests, for many of them to enjoy their first visit to Warramba and to take in fresh country air and a brilliant country party.
